How we set the standards we work to!
The Factory has Premises and an Infrastructure which is set against the Regulation (EC) 854/2004
UK/EC Number
You will notice that catering butchers now have an UK/ EC Number, this means that the Government has sent a representative to inspect our premises and management infrastructure and granted to us to be an Approved Cutting Plant, with the license Number (UK/EC 2468).
This license ensures customers of the commitment of DORIC GAME ltd to produce meat in hygienic conditions, safely and legally to a recognised standard.
This standard is the Regulation (EC) 854/2004 which lays down specific rules for the organisation of official controls on products of animal origin for human consumption, and emphasises the responsibility of the Food Business Operator to produce food safely.
These official controls include audits of Food Business Operators activities with a nature and intensity depending on risk.
The purpose of the audit will be to:
- Verify compliance of our procedures in relation to the production of meat and that these are operating effectively.
- To make recommendations to us where improvements to internal procedures and controls are appropriate.
The uses the Food Standards Agency to inspect us on a regular basis to ensure that standards are kept up to the required level.
These evaluations ensure that DORIC GAME ltd are constantly monitoring their manufacturing practices, through an Internal Auditing plan.
